Finding squares of numbers occurring between 30 - 70.

Finding the squares of number by usual multiplication method is time consuming. In numeric aptitudes, problems related to squares are quite common. There is no need to memorize the squares. With this straight forward short cut technique one can get answer in one step and hence save time in calculations.
This technique helps us to find square of number between 30 to 70. In speed calculations we always compare given number with particular base. Here we consider 50 as base. In this approach we consider 25 as a special number where we add or subtract depending on the given number.

Trick to find square if larger than 50:

  • Subtract given number with 50.Consider this difference as ‘x’.
  • Add ‘x’ to 25. This gives first part of answer.
  • Last part of answer is obtained by taking square of ‘x’.
  • Combine 2 parts to get final answer.
Example :-
592
  • 59-50 = 9. Hence x = 9
  • Since 59 is > 50,  25 + 9 = 34.This is first part of answer.
  • X2 = 92= 81. This gives last part of answer.

Final answer is obtained by combining both parts. i.e 592 = 34/81= 3481.

Trick to find square if smaller than 50:

  • Subtract given number with 50.Consider this difference as ‘x’
  • Subtract ‘x’ to 25. This gives first part of answer.
  • Last part of answer is obtained by taking square of ‘x’.
  • Combine 2 parts to get final answer.
Example :-

432
  • 50 – 43 = 7. Hence x = 7
  • Since 43 is < 50, 25 – 7 = 18.This is the first part of answer.
  • X2=72=49. This gives last part of answer.
  • Final answer is obtained by combining both parts.i.e. 432= 18/49 = 1849.

One important thing to note is if X2 gives 3 digit number then keep last 2 digit as last part of answer and take first digit as carry and add it to first part of answer. Add the carry to first part without worrying if given number is lesser than 50 or more than 50.

For ex:-
392
  • 50 – 39 = 11. Hence x = 11
  • Since 39 is < 50 , 25 – 11 = 14. This gives first part of answer.
  • X2= 112  = 121. This gives last part of answer

Since X2 = 121 , keep last 2 digits. i.e 21 which makes last part of answer. Now first digit is ‘1’ and take it as carry to first part and add it. i.e 141/21
Hence 14 + 1 =15.
Final answer is  1521.

The technique holds good for any numbers occurring between 30 to 70.

Trick to find squares other than 30 to 70 will be explained in next post.

Fixing the "Fatal Error C0000034..." Error When Installing Win7 SP1

usually occurs when installing an update and suddenly system turns off.... so the most annoying effect you are not able to open system and you are struck..!!! so here is the solution for that problem..

**When applying SP1 for windows 7 there is a specific error that can happen during reboot. If you get this error “Fatal Error C0000034 Applying Update Operation 282 of...”, follow the steps below to fix the SP1 installation**

2 weeks back I came through same problem and this approach really worked and my system is working really fine :-) :-)

NOTE :-this will need a very careful and exact presence of mind since the procedure involves note pad and you cannot clearly distinguish characters..

so with this lets start solving your annoying system issue...

STEP 1:-

Reboot your computer while it’s starting up.

STEP 2:-

When your computer starts up again, choose the option “Launch Startup Repair”

If you do not have this module installed in the OS, you'll need a Win7 install disc that is the same architecture (i.e. 32 or 64-bit) as the OS installed. Just boot to the CD and go from there.

STEP 3:-

When the Startup repair starts, click cancel.

STEP 4:-

After you click cancel it will show a box. Click “Don’t Send”, then click the link “View advanced options for recovery and support”

STEP 5:-

In the new window click Command Prompt at the bottom.

STEP 6 :-

In Command Prompt type this and press enter: %windir%\system32\notepad.exe

STEP 7:-

Notepad will open. In notepad go to File–>Open.

STEP 8:-

Change the type of files notepad views from .txt to All Files

STEP 9:-

Now in Notepad, go to C:\Windows\winsxs\ (or whichever drive Windows is installed on)

STEP 10:-

In that folder, find pending.xml and make a copy of it

Just copy and paste it in the same folder, this is just in case something happens to the original so you don't lose it.

STEP 11:-

Now open the original pending.xml

It will usually take a while to load because it's a huge file.

STEP 12:-

Press CNTRL+F and search for the following exactly: 0000000000000000.cdf-ms

That's sixteen (16) zeroes ;)

IMPORTANT note:- PLEASE DO A BACK UP OF NOTE PAD TEXT BEFORE GOING TO STEP 13

STEP 13:-

Delete the following text (yours may be a little different):

<Checkpoint/>
<DeleteFile path="\SystemRoot\WinSxS\FileMaps\_0000000000000000.cdf-ms"/>
<MoveFile source="\SystemRoot\WinSxS\Temp\PendingRenames\e56db1db48d4cb0199440000b01de419._0000000000000000.cdf-ms" destination="\SystemRoot\WinSxS\FileMa\_0000000000000000.cdf-ms"/>
NOTE: Your PC might not have all 3 sections of code (<Checkpoint>, <DeleteFile>, <MoveFile>). Just make sure you delete section “Checkpoint” and whatever other sections have “000000000000000.cdf-ms”. They will be right next to eachother.

STEP 14:-

Save the file, close notepad, close command prompt, restart your computer.

FINAL WORD: Once your computer starts up, do a normal startup (it may stall for 5-10 minutes at the “starting windows” screen, but leave it going) and the Service Pack will install some more stuff and restart a few times and then everything should be working! For some people, it reverts everything and cancels the service pack installation. For other people, the service pack installation completes. Either result is fine, the computer should be functioning normally now without any data loss.

Five Android-only apps which make iPhone users jealous

Five Android-only apps which make iPhone users jealous

Temple Run, Subway Surfers, Angry Birds..... seems like all greatest apps appear first in IOs before making its way to ANDROID..
usually Iphone users FIRST experience the latest apps and games.

but here is the list of FIVE great apps of ANDROID apps which is not yet released for IOs and where android users can brag about upon to Iphone users :P :D

1:-

AirDroid (Free)

AirDroid (click to view full image)

With AirDroid, you don’t even need to touch your phone in order to use it. The app lets you access your phone remotely by going to web.airdroid.com and scanning the QR code on the page. The free version of the service lets you do things like reply to text messages, organize your photos, and play music, while the paid version lets you remotely access your camera and helps you locate a missing or stolen device.

AirDroid web view.

If you’re not one to carry a Micro-USB cable everywhere you go, AirDroid also lets you transfer content to and from your phone without ever having to plug it into your computer. (Just make sure you’re on Wi-Fi if you’re planning on moving over gigabytes of data.)
So why exactly would you want to access your phone on your computer? Aside from all the benefits I listed above, the number one reason to do it would be because you left your phone out of arm’s reach and are too lazy to get up to answer a text message. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

2:-

Astro File Manager (Free)

Astro File Manager (click to view full image)

If you’ve ever created a file on your iPhone or iPad, you know what a huge pain it can be to move it off of the device. You have to either plug it into iTunes to retrieve it or hope that you have an app installed that works with the app you used to create the file in the first place. It’s way more convoluted than it should be.
While I’m not saying Android is any better when it comes to creating documents, it certainly is better at managing them. Astro File Manager gives you access to all of the data stored on your phone. The app lets you move folders and files around your phone’s internal memory and SD card, and you can also connect to your Box, Dropbox, and Google Drive accounts to move your files between your phone and the Internet (aka the cloud).
The app even has a memory manager so you can see which apps are taking up the most space on your phone so you can address them accordingly. You can also use Astro File Manager to back up your apps (and their data) to your MicroSD card—handy in case you need to reset your device or switch to a new one.
3:-

Tasker ($3)

Tasker (Click to view full image)

Tasker helps make your smartphone actually feel smart. The app lets you create profiles that automatically execute certain tasks when specific criteria are met. For instance, you can have your phone automatically launch the music app when you plug in headphones, or have your phone silence itself when you get to the office. There’s really no limit to the types of profiles you can create, and there are entire websites dedicated to Tasker profiles if you’re not up to the task of creating one yourself.
The app does have a bit of a learning curve, though, so I’d recommend going through the tutorial or looking one up online to get down the basics. There’s a lot of trial and error involved when building your first Tasker profile, but there’s an unmatched feeling of joy when all your hard work finally pays off.
Sure the idea of automating your phone sounds nerdy, but it’s unequivocally cool to have your phone automatically respond to text messages while you sleep.
4:-

SwiftKey ($4)

SwiftKey (click to view full image)

Say farewell to typos. SwiftKey is a third party keyboard app that adapts to the way you write by learning which words and phrases you use most often, allowing for a better typing experience because your phone isn’t constantly auto correcting “Yo” into “to”. After a while, you get to the point where you can mash your thumbs randomly on screen and have SwiftKey predict exactly what you wanted to say, punctuation and all. Neat.
For those of us out there that find typing passé, SwiftKey has a feature called Flow that lets you glide your fingers over keys to form words and sentences (kind of like Swype). SwiftKey also supports multiple languages simultaneously, so you don’t have to go into the settings every time you want to switch the keyboard language from English to French, and the app comes with several themes to change how the keyboard appears on screen.
5:-

Nova Launcher ($4)

A home screen customized with Nova Launcher.

Shouldn’t your phone look the way you want it to? With Nova Launcher, you can customize your Android home screen to give it a unique look that’ll be the envy of everyone on your block. The app makes it easy to change your app icons, app drawer, and home-screen animations to something more in line with your artistic vision, and there are plenty of pre-made themes available on the Play Store (if you’re feeling lazy).
There are also websites and forums where people post their Android home-screen designs and tell you how you can achieve the same look—handy if you’re looking for some inspiration.

ANDROID on windows PC

Want to enjoy ANDROID on PC..??? here are 2 best ways you can try out...

1- YOU WAVE

impressive software and easy to install. But I wouldn recommend this since its not free software. but you can use this repeatedly by uninstalling once it expires and again installing ;-).

you can enjoy almost all android apps using this. mainly Wats app we chat etc.
the main dis advantage is that though this is easy to interface but it tortures user with its unfixed bugs of never changing date and time. also many times it gets corrupted as such making you to install the new software version once again.

it supports windows XP, vista 7..

you can download this through this link http://youwave.com/ well if you want cracked version then drop a comment.. will send you full cracked version of software :)

once you download

2. Bluestacks
i recommend this way of using android.mainly its free software. though this is a slow running software its user friendly and doesnt bug you much as like other which I described above.
once you download bluestack next thing is to download .apk file of the app you wanna run and then enjoy the ANDROID power on PC :)

in my upcoming threads will explain you how to install wats app and subway surfers on PC..:)

well you can download bluestacks by this link http://www.bluestacks.com/

The new Nexus released is priced 229$. Its an upgraded version to the one released last year with 16 GB storage capacity.

The Nexus 7 will be the first device to get the 4.3 version of its Android software (currently known as "Key Lime Pie.").
It's a relatively minor upgrade from the "Jelly Bean" flavor of Android. The new line of Nexus tablets boasts of a higher-definition 17.5-centimetre display screen and a processor that promises to be nearly as twice as fast. Dual stereo speakers have been added for richer sound, and the device's battery duration has been extended by about an hour.
